Today is a ground breaking day here on Mrs Tea, I finally figured out how to make my pictures larger! Whoohoo! It’s the little things! Also, the weather has been SO nice here the last week and it just makes me so happy. It also makes me want to eat everything that is grilled. This peanut sauce is the perfect pairing to any grilled meat for vegetables or even nachos.
My husband, Matt’s father (also my father in law) made this all of the time while he was growing up. It is a family favorite. I think that it came from a magazine, but I don’t know the exact origin of the sauce. Either way, I’m glad that this came into my life.
This peanut sauce is not overly peanutty. It’s the perfect blend of peanut with a little tang, from the lemon juice and the cilantro. It’s made with whole ingredients and is super easy to make. It keeps in the fridge for a week or two and can be used on anything. My favorite is to put this on grilled chicken or grilled pork, cold right out of the fridge. You could even use this as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or sushi.
Ellie loves peanut butter and had to help me out shooting this 🙂
